The latest RAW Artists showcase in Brisbane – ‘Translations‘ is featuring some talented up and coming designers and artists including two Australian Institute of Creative Design fashion graduates to watch out for – Cynthia Coetzer and Rosa Carrington-Hogg (Infidel.the Label). RAW is a showcase of approximately 40 hand-selected artists in film, fashion, music, visual art, photography, performing arts, hair and make-up that runs every two months to spotlight underground talent to the public. The Brisbane events are held in Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley and each event features film screenings, musical performances, fashion shows and more from local artists with a cocktail bar and matching dress code, these events are not to be missed!
Cynthia Coetzer launched her label after graduating from the Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology in 2011 and jumping in with both feet to create a label that matches her passion for designing for women with a real shape and a busy lifestyle. Inspired by effortless classical styles, Cynthia has been stocking her label at the Gold Coast Emerging Designers Store in Pacific Fair for the past year.
Rosa Carrington-Hogg will also be featuring her label ‘Infidel. The Label‘ in the upcoming RAW event. Rosa graduated from the Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology in August and will be showcasing her first collection dedicated to the fearless, chic and the extraordinary
Devastated that you can’t make the September RAW event? Never fear. Don’t miss the November 22nd RAW showcase ‘Encompass’ where Clarissa Ross’s label ‘Hunting Faith the Label‘ will be featured. Clarissa also graduated from the Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology in August and will be showcasing her first collection inspired by the glamour of the 70’s fused with the effortless chic silhouettes of the 90’s.
