"I studied the Diploma of Visual Arts at AICD, with an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher. My teacher’s extensive visual art and design knowledge, including currency in the Graphic Design industry, greatly assisted me to obtain the necessary technical skills. Her creative direction was an asset to completing our projects, always introducing fresh new ideas. I am thankful for the teacher’s friendly and ‘always-ready-to-assist’ nature. During the Covid19 pandemic, we transitioned from campus classes to an online environment. This was a difficult time, however my teacher continued an organised class structure and was always available to assist, making sure our deadlines were met. Thank you for your continued support and for always inspiring us with our creative pursuits".

"I was two months into a University course when I realised I needed a more hands-on creative, practical approach to develop my skills, knowledge and understanding of the fashion industry. I moved my studies to the Australian Institute of Creative Design and this offered me invaluable industry knowledge and a real world experience. During the first six months of my study with AICD, I learned the core fundamentals and theories related to the business side of the Fashion Industry. Topics covered were marketing, designing, production documentation, trend forecasting, buying, visual merchandising and many more. Although my focus was the business side of fashion, I undertook basic sewing and pattern making, necessary skills for building in-depth knowledge of fashion business transactions and decisions. I developed my personal identity, industry footprint and portfolio with creative direction from AICD teachers. Through my studies with AICD, I had the opportunity to meet with industry professionals, buyers and wholesalers which helped me build industry contacts and networks. Through the college, I competed in a visual merchandising industry competition and achieved an invaluable visual merchandising internship. Through this internship and work experience, I was received a job offer from Forever New as their visual merchandising and stock assistant".

"I was pursuing a Bachelor Degree at Univiversity, however after one year I found that my real interest lay in design and in particular Interior Design. I did a lot of research and eventually chose to study with the Australian Institute of Creative Design. I had no idea what to expect of the Interior Design course, but I was so pleased to spend the first several months of the course gaining an understanding of the core elements and principles of design. The latter part of the course was devoted to putting my new skills and knowledge into practice in industry focused scenarios and work on client briefs and presentation boards. I found my career path, which is redesigning and redecorating residential homes. The practical approach of the course, industry exposure and the invaluable experience of the Interior Design teachers cemented my knowledge of the industry. Apart from learning, the best part was meeting new people and creating new friendships".
